Songs for the Heart and Spirit

PaMa Holding Hands
Together, Alexis Eggertsen and Cody Groom are PaMa (Pa and Ma). With our hearts in the lead, we give our best to receive and share the gift of music. As we walk our own healing journeys, we weave musical maps of the places we’ve been and the lessons we’ve learned, imbued with our love, joy and hope.

We are learning stewards of the Earth, and practice deep listening to her many teachers as we strive to be the best people we can be.

Cody is the duo’s wizard on the strings, playing the guitar, charango, ukulele and bass. Alexis loves to play her piano, and chimes in with her guitar. We both play the flutes, harmonicas, drums and rattles, and continue to incorporate a variety of other instruments from our ever-growing collection. Both of us are experienced in all things video, and together have won (national and international) awards. And of-course, we bring our hearts together in singing and songwriting. We live a boat ride away from the Seattle area, nestled in the beautiful forests of Kitsap County. With Pa and Ma together, we like to think of our music as family music. We want our music to benefit and feel good for everyone- no matter who you are, where you come from, how old you are, what you look like, etc. We are all part of one big and precious family, on this one big and precious home that we call Earth. We are grateful to share this beautiful home with you, and look forward to doing our part to uplift our spirits by supporting and encouraging one another, and sharing our gifts with open hearts. We hope it feels as if each and every one of you is being welcomed home through our songs. We hope listening to our music helps you reach that positive change in your life that you’re seeking. We believe that music should empower the great and noble task before us all: being the best people we can be and living the best life that we possibly can, in a way that honors who we are, that honors one another, that honors where we are and that honors what’s real and good. We believe in the power of music to connect, guide, strengthen, uplift, heal, help and make a stand for good things to come. Each song has been a vehicle of our hopes and prayers (and the wisdom we’ve accrued along our way). Our music has been the guiding light of our own joy, healing, empowerment and action in our lives. Our humble hope is that it can do the same for others what it has done for ourselves. We pray that it can reach the ears of those who would benefit from it, and that we’ll all uplift one another together!

We aim to make music for all, in a way that feels good and is uplifting for the heart and soul. Thank you for visiting!
